Celebrating and remembering life

The beauty of a non-religious ceremony is that it’s personal. The focus will be on what’s right for you, your family and your friends.

Are you planning
- a funeral?
- a memorial ceremony?
- a scattering of ashes?

Whichever you decide, I'll make sure that you, your friends and family enjoy a ceremony that is individual and true to the memory of your person. Your ceremony will include as much music, and as many readings and contributions from others as you wish

We’ll work together to create a ceremony that’s meaningful and that makes this significant occasion genuinely memorable.

What is a non-religious ceremony?

A non-religious ceremony is a celebration of our lives – an affirmation of who we are.
It doesn’t include any acts of worship, such as hymns or prayers. It will not have any reference to an after-life, to a god or to any ‘other-worldly’ being.

It will though include as much music and as many readings and contributions from others as you wish.

A non-religious ceremony is inclusive. Everyone who attends, regardless of their life view, should feel a part of the ceremony.
In other words, it’s for everyone.

My name's Nett ...

…. and I'll work with you and make sure that you, your family and friends experience a ceremony that's fitting - one that focuses on all that matters about the person in your life who has died.

My approach is to be calm, caring and professional.

I'm a humanist, which is shorthand for the way I feel about life ... and death. Humanism is a positive, optimistic belief system that celebrates the one life we have.

Data Protection and Privacy Policy

As a celebrant, I receive personal information from you e.g. names, phone numbers and email addresses for the purpose of writing your ceremony script. Inevitably, a ceremony that best reflects your wishes and celebrates a life is, by its nature, personal. All information received by me is stored securely and is only used for the specific purpose of producing a personalised ceremony. It will not be passed on to or sold to any third parties.
Live ceremony scripts might be shared with a colleague in the event that I am unable to undertake a ceremony owing to illness or accident.
The personal information that you provide for the purpose of building a ceremony will be retained by me in case you require my services again and where such continuity is desirable. If you wish to have all your information erased immediately following a ceremony, or at any time thereafter, please get in touch by phone or email to confirm this and I will act accordingly
